Using the Include Only Generated Objects Option with Indexes (r7.3.11)

Additional information about the Complete Compare advanced option Include Only Generated Objects was provided for r7.3.11.

The Complete Compare advanced option Include Only Generated Objects works for indexes only when you use a Database Level Compare. It does not apply for the Logical, Physical, and Logical Physical Level Compare.

The following table illustrates the conditions when indexes are filtered in Complete Compare for Database Level Compare with this advanced option selected:

The Indexes are compared in Complete Compare even though the Generate or Generate As Constraint options (or both) are not selected in the Index Editor because you are using the Physical Level Compare. Using the Include Only Generated Objects option has no effect on Indexes except when you use the Database Level Compare.

The following illustrations demonstrate this behavior. The FK indexes DONOTGENERATE and XIF1SCN_API_AUD_CNFM_SHMT with the Generate check box not selected appear in the Physical Level Compare and are hidden in the Database Level Compare.
