Upgrade from Older Versions

The current upgrade for CA Business Service Insight supports upgrades from version 7.0 SP1 and later. For upgrades from version 7.0 and all previous versions, use the following process:

1. Perform a database dump and back up all customized files.
2. Install the new version with a clean installation.

   For more information, see How to Install CA Business Service Insight.

3. Migrate the database into the new installation.
4. (Optional) To import old booklets into the new database, execute bookletdocumentloader.exe.
   1. Locate the executable file in the migration folder on the installation CD.
   2. Execute the file.
   3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
