Configure the Servers

To continue operations, configure the servers.

Configure the Application Server

Follow these steps:

Configure MSMQ to Work in a Cluster

  1. On each CA Business Service Insight Application server node, delete any queues in the Private Queues storage folder.
  2. Verify that the MSTDC resource is clustered.
  3. Create and configure an MSMQ resource and group (virtual server) by opening the Cluster Administrator program.
  4. In Action, select Open connection to cluster.
  5. In Cluster or server name, select the Application cluster name.
  6. In the console tree, click Cluster Group.

Add MSMQ Resources

  1. Click File, New, Resource.

    The New Resource Wizard opens.

  2. Type Clustered MSMW in Name.
  3. Select Message Queuing, and click Next.
  4. On the Possible Owners page, click Next.
  5. On the Dependencies page, under Available resources, select the resource with Network Name as the type, and click Add.
  6. Select Disk S (the resource of type Physical Disk) and click Add.
  7. Click Finish.
  8. Bring the Clustered MSMQ resource online.

Add General Resources

  1. In the console tree, click Cluster Group.
  2. Click File, New, Resource.

    The New Resource Wizard opens.

  3. Type Clustered Computer Management in Name.
  4. Select Generic Application, and click Next.
  5. On the Possible Owners page, click Next.
  6. On the Dependencies page, under Available resources, select the resource with Network Name as the type, and click Add.
  7. Select the Clustered MSMQ resource, and click Add.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Type mmc compmgmt.msc in Command Line.
  10. Type %windir%\system32 in Current Directory.
  11. Select Use Network Name for the computer name and Allow Application to Interact with Desktop.
  12. Click Next, and click Finish.
  13. Bring the Clustered Computer Management resource online.

Add Internal Resources

Note: Most of the resources are present, but the resources have the old group names. Revise your group so that they have same names as the installation from scratch names.

  1. Click to File, New, Resource.
  2. Add the following resources:
  3. Add Oblicore - Current_Status_Engine resource to CA Business Service Insight-Current Status Group.
  4. Add Oblicore - PSLWriter resource to the CA Business Service Insight-ACE1 Writer Group.
  5. Add Oblicore - Current_Status_Engine resource to CA Business Service Insight-ACE2 Worker.
  6. Add Oblicore - PslWorker1 resource to CA Business Service Insight - ACE2 Worker Group.
  7. Bring all resources online.
