Troubleshooting
Here is the troubleshooting for this release.
- Client: The Booklet template designer is a Word Add-in. Any exception is caught and logged in a local log file. Exceptions that require user attention are prompted in a Message box. The log file is found at AppData\Local\CA Booklet Word Add-In.
- Internal errors: These errors are caused from an unexpected internal exception such as database issues. The Administrator can view log entries in the web UI that can help resolve the issue.
- Generation errors: One example of a generation error is a message that the report you entered does not exist. If you receive this message, verify:
- That this report does exist
- That you entered the name correctly.
- If the generated document does not open in Word, redesign the template and generate the document again. To find the specific tag that could be the cause for the generation failure, create a copy of the template and remove sections from it. You can then generate the remaining sections. Repeat this procedure until you find the section or tag that causes the generation failure. You can then focus on the tags or combination of tags that caused the failure and avoid using them in the template.
