To create an alert profile, specify the type of alert and the alert recipients, and the delivery method. If the recipient you need is not listed, you can create a recipient.

Follow these steps:

Note: The Type drop-down list can also include user-defined event types, enabling alerts to be defined in connection with specific events. Selecting a user-defined event type displays the Resource field. When required, select the resource to which the user-defined alert applies from the Resource drop-down list.
Note: The Alerts feature does not permit users to set conditions on TIME fields. For Event Types containing a date field, the date field is NOT listed in the condition formula and no changes can be made to it. The limitation is deliberate.
Note: If the alert recipient you want is not listed, you can add it by clicking Add Alert Recipient.
Note: This value is subject to the value defined in the Minimal time between alerts field in the Alert Preferences page. For more information, see Defining Alert Preferences.
The new alert profile is saved.
Tip: Alert profiles can also be created by clicking Alerts in the Contracts, Contract Details and Penalties pages for any defined contract, metric or penalty. When creating an alert profile from these pages, predefined values are displayed for each field, depending on where you clicked the Alerts icon. These values can be modified as required.
Alert profiles can also be created by right-clicking on the name of contract in the Contracts page and selecting Create Alert Profile.
