Simple Report Types

The Simple Report type determines its Y-Axis automatically. CA Business Service Insight provides a default set of simple report templates that can be modified and from which actual reports can be generated. These include:

• Service Level: Report the actual service level which is provided to the contract party. Service Level reports measure a specific (user determined) performance target. They measure the actual service level of that chosen target (metric) that is actually provided to the contract party and compares this to the service level which was agreed-upon and stipulated in the contract. In these reports only one specific unit of measurement can be shown in each report. For example, Uptime is measured as a percentage, while Response Time is measured in seconds. These criteria cannot be reported together in the same Service Level report.

  Service level reports can be viewed by month, quarter, year, tracking period, contract party, contract party group, service, service group, contract, timeslot or metric. Service-level reports can also be filtered to display business data only.

• Deviation: Reports the percentage deviation between the provided service level and the agreed-upon service level. Deviation reports can be viewed by hour, week, day, month, quarter, year, tracking period, contract party, contract party group, service, service group, contract, timeslot or metric, unclustered metric, service domain, domain category, cluster item or severity. Deviation reports can be filtered to display business data only.
• Revenue: Revenue reports can be viewed by month, quarter, year, tracking period, contract party, contract party group, service, service group, contract, timeslot or metric.
• Consumption: Consumption reports are a type of service level report that can include Target or Forecast. Consumption reports are used when consumption based pricing is used for calculation. Consumption reports measure consumption. For example, when you want to know how many mailboxes at a specific cost have been used, how many users and so on.
• Custom: Custom reports can be used to create a report that includes various metric types that cannot be used simultaneously in any of the standard report types. For example, you may want to create a custom report when you have related metrics and want to see the server performance and the number of users in one report.

A wide variety of reports can be generated depending on the combination of criteria selected. Sample reports are displayed on the following pages.
