Add and Advanced Registration Type to a Metric

The Advanced registration type is used to register for resource events that are attached to a specific resource group. The Advanced registration type can be attached to the contract party and the service.

Follow these steps:

1. In the Add New Registration window, select Advanced and click Next.
2. Select whether the registration type is Not clustered or Clustered.
   • If Clustered is selected, the Select resource groups option is disabled. Click Next.
   • If Not Clustered is selected, click Add to select a resource group. The Find Resource Groups window opens.
     • Designate the resource groups from the list shown in the result area.
     • Select a search option on a specific resource group.
     • Click OK.
     • Click Next.

   Important: The option to select Not clustered or Clustered is enabled only if this metric is clustered.

3. Select a Resource type from the list.
4. Select an Event type from the list.
5. Check Contract party to register for resource events that are also attached to the current contract party.
6. Check Service to register for resource events that are also attached to the current service.
7. Check both to register for resource events that are also attached to the current contract party and current service.
8. Select a Business Logic Method from the list.
   • If the Business Logic method is not in the list, click Add Method. The Add Method window opens.
   • Type the name of the Method in Add Method and click OK. The method is added to the list.
   • Click Next.
9. Type a description of the registration type in the Description area, if desired and click Next.
10. If desired, click View Active resources to see the active resources that are associated with this registration type.
11. If desired, click View Inactive resources to see the inactive resources that are associated with this registration type.
12. Click Check registration to have the system check that the registration is valid.

    Note: If the number of valid resources is zero, the check fails and the contract cannot be committed.

13. Click Confirm to add the registration type to the metric.
