Metrics can be copied from Service Level Templates, contracts and contract templates to Service Level Templates, contracts and contract templates.
Note: When you copy a metric, changes in the sources do not affect the copied metric.
When you copy a metric, a collision with an existing metric may occur. There are two types of collisions. They are handled by the system in different ways.
The first type of collision is when a metric has the same name and the same type, but with a different value. When this type of collision occurs, the existing target value is used. The second type of collision is when a metric has the same name, but a different type. When this type of collision occurs, the references are cleared and the parameter is added as a static parameter.
Note: You can select a metric from an existing contract, contract template or Service Level Template by selecting Select from Contract, Contract Template or Service Level Template.
