Create a Contract from a Contract Template
You can create a contract using a contract template. Using contract templates is useful to create new contract that requires only slight modifications from an existing contract template. By using a contract template, you do not have to reenter all the parameters that have already been defined.
Contracts created from a contract template are created with the attachments that were set to that contract template but are not contract specific or hyperlinks.
Follow these steps:
- In the Contract Templates page, click
next to the contract template you want to use and select Create Contract.
The Contract Details page opens. The service and metric details are taken from the selected contract template.
- In Name, enter a name for the contract (up to 60 characters).
- In Contract Type, select what is the type of the contract from the drop-down list.
- In Primary Contract Party, select whether the contract party is the Provider or Receiver and the contract party for whom you are creating the contract.
- Select the secondary contract party.
Note: Click View Details to view additional information about selected contract parties before choosing one, or click Add New if the contract party you want is not listed. For more information, see Adding a Contract Party.
- In Services, select the services in the contract from the Available list and click
, or double-click the service. The selected service moves to the Included Services list.

- In Currency, select the currency in which this contract is operating from the drop-down list.
- In Effective, enter the start date and time of the contract, and the end date and time.
Tip: You can select the date and time from the calendar and clock by clicking
.
- In Workflow, enter the required email addresses:
- In To be approved by, type the email address of the authority that must approve the report.
- In Reply to, enter the email address of the recipient of the approval.
Note: This field is enabled only if Contract workflow is set to Enable or Enforce in Administration, Site Settings, Contracts.
- In Time zone, select the relevant time zone in which this contract operates from the drop-down list.
- In the Currency drop-down list, select the currency for the contract fee.
Note: If the currency you want is not listed, you can add that currency to the list. For more information, see Adding a Unit.
- In Owner, enter the name of the owner of the contract.
- Click Apply.
The new contract is created.
- Modify details in all tabs as necessary.
