Archive a Contract

You can archive a contract at any time to remove it from service-level calculations. This action is generally performed on old contracts that no longer have an effective version. After a contract has been archived, you cannot define new alerts or objectives for it. Archived reports can be removed from the archive at any time to re-include them in service-level calculations, if required.

Note: Preliminary contracts cannot be archived.

Important: Archiving a contract does not delete the contract or its data from the CA Business Service Insight database. To do this, you must purge the contract from the database.

To archive a contract:

  1. In the Contracts page, click View details button for the contract you want to archive.

    The Contract Details page opens.

  2. Click Archive.

    A confirmation message opens.

  3. Click Yes. The contract is archived and is not used in future calculations. The contract can still be viewed in the contracts page if the Archived check box is selected as one of the search criteria.

    Note: Click Undo Archive in the Contract Details page of the contract to remove the contract from the archive and make it available for reports.
