Perform a Metric Check

Metrics with errors cannot be committed.

Errors occur for parameters and fields that are missing values and for parameters that are deleted and are being used by an objective statement. metric level parameters are checked to verify that the metric is not missing any mandatory parameter values. Missing parameter values are listed and can be added to the metric.

If a metric level parameter references a contract level parameter, the contract level parameter is checked as well. Contract parameters that are not referenced are not checked.

A metric is checked automatically when its parameters are saved and when contract level parameters that are referenced by metric level parameters are updated.

You can manually activate a metric check for individual metrics by clicking the Check metric button. A metric must be saved prior to performing a check on it.

Follow these steps:

1. In the Contract Objectives page, view or edit the metric you want to check.
2. Click Check metric.

   The metric check is run and the metric Warnings list opens.
