Dashboard Calculations

The Dashboard performs calculations on metrics based on two methods: Contractual or Current status (for more information, see Contractual Obligation Calculation Method and/or Current Status Calculation Method. The results are then translated into severities using thresholds that are defined in the widget, metric, domain category or through the system default (for more information, see Thresholds).

Once a severity is determined, a roll-up method, specified by the user, is used to calculate each entity's severity and aggregate from low-level entities such as metrics to higher levels such as contract parties (for more information, see Roll-up Calculation Methods).

For example, a contract party can be composed of one contract, one service and two metrics. The severity of the metrics is aggregated using a roll-up method (Average) to the higher levels service and contract and finally to the contract party, determining its severity.
