Granting Users Access to a Report

To allow a user to view the details of a single report in the root folder, grant the user access to a report.

Follow these steps:

  1. Select the owner of the report on the Report Properties page.

A user or user group that is the owner of a saved report can view and modify the report.

  2. Select a user from the Available list, and click the left arrow icon, or double-click the user to add it to the Permitted users list.

Note: Reports in the My Reports folder can only be viewed by the user who owns the report.

  3. Click Save to return to the Report Wizard page.

Permitted users can now view data from the reports, and list and generate reports in the folder.

Note: Unless a user has the Own All Entities permission, only the creator or owner of a report can edit it.

Note: Permitted users for a report folder can access all reports in the folder. CA Business Service Insight only uses the permitted users field at the report level if the report is stored in the Root Folder. See Granting Users Access to a Folder.
