Dashviews are used as containers of widgets, help to organize information, support integration (can be embedded in portals), are resizable and are able to display a background image that aids in the clear representation of the status of multiple entities such as countries, organizational units and stages of a process.
Each dashview has a Title bar that includes:
Note: The dashview does not include a scrollbar. Size each dashview to the expected graph size.
The Dashboard includes the following types of dashviews:
In Regular dashviews, entities and widgets are placed freely in the dashview. The dashview can be set with a background image thereby allowing the entities and widgets to be placed in specific locations.
URL dashviews allow viewing and accessing web pages from within the dashboard, for example, the local Intranet site.
In Tabular dashviews, entities and widgets are organized in a table that can also show some of the widget’s properties in the columns. The user can select what fields are displayed, sort the table by any of the columns and reorder columns.
The Saved Searches dashview contains the list of the user's saved searches. The Saved Searches dashview is enabled only when the page is viewed as a home page. Through this dashview, the user can access saved searches directly from the home page.
The Favorites dashview contains the list of the user's favorites. The Favorites dashview is enabled only when the page is viewed as a home page. Through this dashview, the user can access favorites directly from the home page.
The Task Pane dashview enables the user to perform predefined tasks. The Task Pane dashview is enabled only when the page is viewed as a home page. Through this dashview, the user can perform the tasks directly from the home page.
Report dashviews show the results of reports defined in CA Business Service Insight.
