Content Transfer supports the transfer of contracts in status Effective, Not Effective and Pending. When the contract is in status Preliminary or Archived, it does not appear as a contract that can be transferred in the Content Transfer Wizard.
The following table indicates the different contract statuses and if they are transferred or not.

The contract data is transferred based on the versions that were created in the source environment. Only versions in status Effective, Not Effective and Pending are being transferred. Preliminary and canceled versions are not transferred.

As versions in status Canceled are not transferred, after the transfer is completed, a contract may have a different number of versions in the source and local environments. However, the versions that were transferred, should be considered as identical. Below is an example in which a contract with three versions was created in the source environment and was transferred to the local environment, resulting in the following:

However, it does not mean that canceled versions cannot be found in the local environment due to contract transfer. In the above example if a new version (#4) is subsequently created in the source environment, it causes the effective version (#2) in the local environment to become canceled, resulting in the following:
