Translation Tables

Translation tables define one or more fields that data sources provide to the adapters. The adapters use these tables to determine the type of CA Business Service Insight data into which each value relating to these fields must be translated. This data is known as a destination type. For example, a data source includes a field named Customer. In this case, a relevant adapter uses a translation table to indicate that any values received in this field are translated into a contract party.

Translation tables can also be defined to work with combinations of data source fields. For example, a data source uses two fields to represent each customer. In this case, a translation table is defined so that the adapter uses both fields when translating into CA Business Service Insight data.

You can create as many translation tables as required.

Note: :"Default Translation Table" is initial data and cannot be edited. This data is localized.
