Setting Adapter Defaults

Adapter defaults are saved globally for the entire application. Defaults are available for the General step only.

The user saves the defaults by clicking located in the General step.

After saving the defaults they apply for any subsequent adapter that is created by the wizard regardless of the user permission status. Hence, any new adapter, which is added using the Add New function loads the saved defaults.

The adapter defaults that are saved are:

• For Text File and SQL adapters in the General step:
  • In the General tab, the entire tab is saved except Name and Description
  • In the Connectivity tab, the entire tab is saved
  • In the Monitoring tab, the entire tab is saved
  • In the Processing tab, the entire tab is saved
  • In the Misc tab, the entire tab is saved
  • In the Notes tab, the entire tab is saved

Note: Set the Adapter Listener Address in the Connectivity tab as a default when first using the wizard. The value of this field should be the same for all created adapters.
