Search for a Change Set

By default, the Change Sets page displays an alphabetical list of all change sets that are valid as of the resources effective date. To shorten the list, use the search procedure defined below.

To search for a change set

1. In the Change Sets page, select a search option or options:
   • Name: Select Name or Description and type the criteria in the field. Wildcards can be used.
   • Status: Select Enable to have the change set available for a resource or Disable to it unavailable.
   • Effective dates: Select from the following list of options:
     • Time Range - Set an effective date and time period for the search. In this option, a change set appears even if it is effective for part of that range. All other search criteria must apply for the specific change set for at least one second in this time range.
     • Defined Time - Set a specific date and time for the search.
     • Specific Time - Select from an available drop-down list of specific dates and times. In this option, all other search criteria must apply for the change set in this time. For example, time=2005/10/10 and effective=yes searches for all the change sets effective on 2005/10/10.
     • Last - Set the effective date to be the last X hour(s), day(s), week(s), month(s), quarter(s) or year(s).
     • From Beginning - Set the effective date to be from the beginning of the hour, day, week, month, quarter or year.

     The default selected option is Time Range.

2. Click Search.

   The results display below the search area. For more information on the search results grid, see Using Search Results Grids.

Note: You can also select a letter from the alphabet list to display a list of change sets that begins with that letter.
