Report PDF Options

The following table lists the options available when defining PDF parameters in the XML file used to create free-form reports.

Details

bottom{in,cm,mm}

Specifies the bottom margin. The default units are points (1 point = 1/72nd inch); the suffixes "in", "cm", and "mm" specify inches, centimeters, and millimeters, respectively.

font-family{Typeface}

This option sets the typeface that is used for text in the document. Most typefaces are available.

font-size{pt,px}

Specifies the base font size for the entire document in points (1 point = 1/72nd inch) and in pixels (6.0 ... 24 are standard values).

absolute-size
Set of keywords that indicate predefined font sizes. Named font sizes scale according to the user's font setting preferences. Possible values include the following: xx-small, x-small, small, medium, large, x-large, xx-large.

relative-size
Set of keywords that are interpreted as relative to the font size of the parent object. Possible values include the following: larger, smaller.

length
Floating-point number, followed by an absolute units designator (pt or px - recommended).

percentage
Integer, followed by a percent (%). The value is a percentage of the parent object's font size. In Microsoft Internet Explorer, the value is calculated as a percentage of the default font size.

landscape

Specifies output in landscape orientation (long edge on top).

left{in,cm,mm}

Specifies the left margin. The default units are points (1 point = 1/72nd inch); the suffixes "in", "cm", and "mm" specify inches, centimeters, and millimeters, respectively.

portrait

Specifies that the output should be in portrait orientation (short edge on top).

right{in,cm,mm}

Specifies the right margin. The default units are points (1 point = 1/72nd inch); the suffixes "in", "cm", and "mm" specify inches, centimeters, and millimeters, respectively.

size{letter,a4,WxH{in,cm,mm},etc}

Specifies the page size. The size parameter can be one of the following standard sizes:

Letter = 8.5x11in (216x279mm)

A4 = 8.27x11.69in (210x297mm)

Universal = 8.27x11in (210x279mm)

Custom sizes are specified by the page width and length separated by the letter "x" to select a custom page size. Append the letters "in" for inches, "mm" for millimeters, or "cm" for centimeters.

Available when generating PostScript or PDF files.

top{in,cm,mm}

Specifies the top margin. The default units are points (1 point = 1/72nd inch); the suffixes "in", "cm", and "mm" specify inches, centimeters, and millimeters, respectively.
