Add a Metric-level Parameter
You can add parameters to a metric. Metric-level parameters can be accessed from the Parameters sub tab in the Objective Statement tab.
Follow these steps:
- Click Add Parameter to add a metric-level parameter.
The Parameter Structure Editor opens.
- Enter the relevant information.
- In Name, type a name for the parameter
- (Optional) In Description, type a description.
- Choose Static to add a standard value.
- In Type, select a type from the list of types
Note: If you select Text, you can click
to select a resource from a list of resources.
- In Value, type a value for the parameter
A number value can have a maximum size of 10 digits and a precision of additional 5 digits
A text value can have a maximum size of 100 characters
- Date value is entered and displayed in the user date format

- Choose Dynamic to reference this metric level parameter to a contract level parameter.
- If Dynamic is selected, a dialog box with all contract level parameters opens.
- When referencing a Number, Text or Date parameter select the relevant parameter.
- When referencing a table parameter, reference the entire table, or a specific cell. To reference a specific cell within the table, select the specific cell and then click Select Cell.
- Select the desired cell to be referenced
- Click OK. The relevant table entry opens.
Note: When choosing a dynamic parameter, the value and type are disabled. These can only be updated in the contract level; however, you can change the parameter or cell that you are referencing.
- Click OK. The Parameters sub tab is updated with the new parameter.
- Click Apply to apply the changes and continue viewing the Parameters sub tab.

Click Save to save the changes and return to the Objectives page.
