Create a Compound Timeslot

Compound timeslots combine elements of both weekly and yearly timeslots. When defining a compound timeslot, you can either combine a yearly and a weekly timeslot, or exclude the times defined in one timeslot from the other. For example, you can define a timeslot that includes the standard work week defined in a weekly timeslot and excludes the holidays defined in a yearly timeslot.

Follow these steps:

1. In the Timeslot tab, click Add Timeslot and select Compound Timeslot.

   The Compound Timeslot page opens.

2. In Name, enter a name for the timeslot.
3. (Optional) In Description, enter a description for the timeslot.
4. In Included Timeslots, select the timeslots whose times are to be included in the compound timeslot.

   Select the weekly and yearly timeslots whose times should be added to the compound timeslot from the Available Timeslot list and click , or double-click the timeslot. The timeslot(s) moves to the Included list.

5. In Excluded Timeslots, select the timeslots whose times are to be excluded in the compound timeslot.

   Select the weekly and yearly timeslots whose times should be excluded from the compound Timeslot from the Available Timeslot list and click , or double-click the timeslot. The timeslot(s) moves to the Excluded list.

   Note: Click View Details to view the details of a timeslot before adding it or excluding it from the compound timeslot.

   Note: If the template you want to add to the compound timeslot is not available, you can select either Add Weekly Timeslot Template or Add Yearly Timeslot Template.

6. Click Save. The new timeslot is saved in the contract.

   Notes:

   • A grid can be generated from the timeslot details.
   • You can save this template to the Timeslot Templates. For more information see Saving a Timeslot as a Timeslot Template.
