Add Parameters

You can add a parameter to a contract, contract template, service level template. Parameters can be accessed from the Contract Details tab, Parameters button.

Follow these steps:

  1. Go to Contract Details; click on the Parameters tab.

    A parameter list opens.

  2. Click the Edit button
  3. The Contract Details-Parameters page opens.
  4. Click Edit.

    The Add Parameter button opens above the list of parameters.

  5. Click the Add Parameter button.

    The Parameter Structure Editor page opens.

  6. In Name, type a name for the parameter.
  7. In Description, type a description, if desired.
  8. In Version Control, clear the check box to disable the version control mechanism and enable the parameter to be editable in future contract versions.

    Non-version controlled parameters which are edited after a contract is committed affect all versions of the contract (past, present and future).

  9. In Type, select a parameter type from the list. For more information, see:

  10. In Value, type a value for the parameter noting the following:

    Note: For the parameter to have an effect on the contract, it must have a value. The value does not have to be set when adding the parameter.

  11. Click OK.

    The Parameters tab is updated with the new parameter.

  12. Click Apply to apply the changes and continue viewing the Parameters page.

    Important: You must click Apply to apply the parameters to the contract.
