Searching for Entities

You can search for entities.

Follow these steps:

1. In the Template Library page, in the left pane, click on the desired entity.
2. On the toolbar, click .

   The entity's search page opens in the right pane.

3. Select a search option, either by Name or by Description.
4. Enter your search criteria in the Search for field.
5. Click Search.

   The results display below the search area.

Note: You can also select a letter from the alphabet list to display a list of Service groups that begin with that letter.

Note: If you are performing the search on Template Libraries (root), you can select a saved search from a list or save your search.

You can use advanced search options to refine the search results.

Follow these steps:

1. Repeat steps 1 through 4 from above.
2. Click Advanced.

   The Advanced Search dialog box opens.

3. Select a search option or options:
   • In Service, select from the drop-down list.
   • In Status, select the check boxes indicating the status of the Service Level Template or Contract Template entities that you want to search for.
   • In Effective between, enter the start and end dates to search for entities that are effective between the specified dates. An empty start field starts the search at the earliest date stored in the system. An empty end field searches until the end of the latest date stored in the system.
   • In Entity type, select the check boxes indicating the entities that you want to search for.
4. Click Search.

   The results display below the search area.
