Adding Notes to Entities
Notes can be added to any entity shown in the dashboard including CA Business Service Insight entities (contract, service, report, etc.).
An CA Business Service Insight entity note is visible from any widget in which the entity appears.
Notes are not aggregated. For example, a contract does not show the underlying metrics' notes, they are shown only on the metrics.
Follow these steps:
- Right click on the widget (or click on the widget's menu) and select Notes. The Notes page opens.
- Click Add a new note. The Add Note page opens.
- In Subject, type the subject of the note.
- Select the Private Note check box to set the note as private or clear to set it as public. Private notes are viewed only by the person who defined them. Public notes are viewed by any user who is allowed to view the entity.
- In Priority, select whether the priority of the note is Low, Normal (default) or High.
- In Details, type the relevant details of the note.
- Click Add to save and attach the note to the entity, and return to the Notes page.
- Click Cancel to discard changes and return to the Notes page.
- Click Done to return to the Dashboard.
