Configure VMWare VM Console URL

You can generate a URL that allows you to access a virtual machine using a web browser.

You must download and install the Client Integration plug-in for your web browser from the https://machine_name:port_number/vsphere-client/.

machine_name

Specifies the name of the vCenter to access.

port_number

Specifies the port number of the vCenter.

Perform the following steps to configure VMWare VM Console URL:

1. Add a New vCenter Server Connection to the Manager.
2. Configure VM Console Access.
3. Configure VM Console Email Option.

The confirmation email that the user gets on reserving a virtual machine contains the URL for accessing the virtual machine only if VM Console Email Option is configured.
