Provision VM - Set Reservation to Ready Automatically CA Service Catalog

If at least one VM is provisioned successfully with individual status as Ready, the entire reservation request is set to ready. This option enables you to access provisioned VMs for change, extend, and power function and so on.

Clear this option to send the Pending Remedial Action status to the administrator and the reservation status in CA Server Automation remains as Failed. This option does not allow you to access the reservation in the CA Service Catalog.

Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to CA Service Catalog as an administrator.
  2. Click Catalog, Configuration, Content Configuration, ASC ESX General Configuration.
  3. Complete the following information:
    Set to ready

Specifies when at least one VM in the reservation request is available the entire reservation status must be set to Ready.

    Remove Failed VMs

Specifies to delete the VMs that fail during the reservation. If this option is not selected, the failed VM remains in the data center and the administrator must delete them manually.

  4. Click Save.

You have configured the reservation settings.
