Dash (-) Masking Character

You use a dash (-) as a series of wild cards. A dash can represent an unlimited series of characters. You can enter a dash by itself to represent all items in the category you want to review, or you can use it in an item name. The following example illustrates how you might use a dash as a mask in a file name.

If you entered this mask as the file name:

CA Auditor would show:

ABC‑EF

ABCDEF

 

ABCC2EF

 

ABC.F23.EF
