Determine if a Network Contributes to Poor Application Performance
Follow these steps:
Click the Operations page.
Click Applications in the Show Me menu.
The Performance by Application report.
Click an application that shows poor performance. This application performance profile appears in the Selected Components section of the next page.
Click Settings. On the Settings page, under Metric, select All Network Metrics.
Look down the page to the Narrow by Networks display to view the networks that application is running on. If these networks show a similar degradation profile as the application, then they are contributing. If the networks are showing normal performance while the application was slow, then the networks were not contributing.
Alternatively, you can simply look at the Performance by Network report on the Operations Overview page to see the worst performing networks. If one of these is running the application of interest, which you can see if you click the network, then it is contributing to the poor performance of the Narrow by Application list.
