Data Monitoring - Domain Properties

Domains are administered through the CA Performance Center.

Property Details

Complete the following fields:

Domain Name

Displays the name of the domain.

Description

Displays information about the domain.

Primary DNS Address

Displays the IP address of the primary DNS server. The proxy server queries the primary DNS server to resolve server names.

If no DNS server is specified, the monitoring device that is assigned to a server queries its own DNS server, if one is available, to resolve a server name.

Primary DNS Port

Displays the port of the primary DNS server.

Secondary DNS Address

Displays the IP address of the secondary DNS server. If the primary DNS server does not respond, the proxy server queries the secondary DNS server to resolve server host names.

If no DNS server is specified, the monitoring device that is assigned to a server queries its own DNS server, if one is available, to resolve a server name.

DNS Proxy Address

Displays the IP address of the proxy server that queries the primary and secondary DNS servers to resolve a server name.
