Import a list of server definitions from a comma-separated value (CSV) file.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I create server subnets instead of importing a list of servers? CA recommends that you add server subnets which closely align with your server VLAN definitions. A properly-defined server subnet provides the management console with the flexibility that is required to keep a user-defined application up-to-date. When you assign a server subnet, the management console can automatically monitor the application as the servers which host the application change.
Is there an easy way to import a list of server definitions? To get started quickly, add a comma-separated list of server names and IP addresses to a CSV file. If you do not include both a server name and IP address, you can edit the list of definitions before you complete the import. For example, you can create a CSV file with IP addresses only, and then specify the corresponding server names before you complete the import. The management console does not query DNS to resolve host names for imported servers.
