View and manage the list of SNMP profiles between the management console and the CA Performance Center.
Complete the following fields:
Displays the name of the SNMP profile. For security reasons, the SNMP profile name should not be the same as the SNMP user name that the profile defines.
Indicates the SNMP version support for the profile:
Indicates the profile is supported on SNMPv1 and SNMPv2.
Indicates the profile is supported on SNMP v3 only. If you choose this setting, be sure to also specify the SNMP v3 settings.
Specify a SNMPv1 or SNMPv2 community, or a SNMPv3 user that is known on the server or router.
Specify the following settings for an SNMP v3 user:
If the network device is configured with a SNMP context name, specify the context name. Otherwise, leave this field blank.
The level of SNMPv3 security that is configured for the SNMPv3 user on a server or network device:
If you select this option, no additional configuration is required.
If you select this option, you must specify the authentication protocol and password, and confirm the password.
If you select this option, you must specify the authentication and privacy protocols and passwords, and confirm the passwords.
The authentication protocol that is configured for the SNMPv3 user. Choose one of the following:
No authentication protocol for the user.
Use Message Digest 5 (MD5) as the authentication protocol.
Use Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA) as the authentication protocol.
Specify and confirm the authentication password that is configured for the SNMP user.
The privacy protocol that is configured for the SNMPv3 user. You can choose one of the following:
No privacy protocol for the user.
Use Data Encryption Standard (DES) for encryption.
Use Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) for encryption.
Use triple DES (3DES) for encryption.
Specify and confirm the privacy password that is configured for the SNMP user.
