Grid Configuration Cache

After each grid change, ALDO saves a copy of the updated grid configuration at the following locations:

On the controller
On any server to which it connected during the operation

This copy is non-authoritative nor is it guaranteed to be current. The copy is written only upon connection to the controller or server (and not all commands connect to all servers). The copy is intended only for a grid administrator who is involved in debugging a problem or in recovering a failed grid. The configuration cache is saved as a text file, in a form similar to the ./aldo info command output, as follows:

On the controller: /etc/applogic/gridinfo.cache
On each server: /etc/applogic.d/gridinfo.cache

The cache file also includes the IP addresses of the distribution server from which the last aldo command was executed against that grid. An administrator can use this information to locate the distribution server and retrieve the log of aldo commands that are used to manage the grid. (For details, see Install Log and Archive.)
