You can create your appliance using the following methods, then modify, add, or remove functionality for your specific needs.
You can drag and drop an appliance from the catalog to the canvas or download an appliance from Cloud Commons. The catalog provides ready-made appliances, such as databases, gateways, and web servers. The Cloud Commons Marketplace allows you to view CA AppLogic products from third party vendors as well as upload your own appliances to market.
You create a class instance for your appliance by branching a generic appliance.
You can create a new class by importing a Linux or Windows OVF image. The Class Creation wizard imports virtual machines in an OVF format to your appliance. This converts the OVF image to an unmanaged singleton appliance. You can then install a Windows or Linux APK to create a managed appliance and add additional functionality to your appliance
You can create a new appliance by installing a Windows or Linux operating system from an iso.
