Example case: The physical grid is located in Europe, and their customer that uses Windows Server 2008r2, is located in Australia. The customer wants to have time configured on the Windows server to report the timezone in which he is located (Australian), without having to reset it each time he restarts the server.
There is a way to edit the registry on a Windows08 Server but this is not recommended as many reports have been made that the OS becomes unstable.
The best option for your client would be to setup the Windows08 Server with an NTP Australian based time server. After the configurations have been made the appliance will need to be saved and branched so that the settings remain after a reboot or restart of the application.
For example: ntp.nml.csiro.au (130.155.98.1)
