These are some of the various lock/state files used by the applogic controller / grid servers.
/var/run/ctl_up - Used by srvmon, should only exist on controller server.
/var/spool/apl-srv/srvmon - Used by srvmon, contains timestamps of controller starts. Delete to allow controller to start if you see errors saying "to many failures in 24hr period".
/dev/shm/srvmon.state - Same as above for 3.7+
/var/run/applogic/state/cli/<application>.state - State file for applications. Normally empty directory. Deleting the appropriate file would clear the "stuck in building state" issue.
/var/spool/clientmqueue/* - old bug SCR1699. Unsent mail files would fill controller volume. Safe to remove files if exist.
/var/run/applogic/shell/max_webshells -Max number of web shell windows that can be opened on a grid. default is 32 for 768M. Changes are immediate.
/var/run/applogic/shell/webshell_count - Number of current shells open. Changes to this file are immediate.
/var/local/lib/3trsh_lib/.lock - SCR 1975 - Lock file for r/o nfs mounts and 3tshell chroot environment. When 3trsh_init fails to setup the 3 read-only nfs mounts and 3tshell chroot enviornment you will see the following error in the logs: "3trsh: internal err: the file transfer env is locked, please contact your administrator". Removing the file and restarting the controller clears the error.
/var/lock/subsys/3trsh-init - Lock file to show that 3trsh-init script has started.
/var/lock/subsys/applogic-acs - Lock file to show applogic-acs script(create controller dhcpd and httpd conf file) has started
/var/lock/subsys/applogic_ctl - Lock file to show applogic_ctl script(controller main boot init script) has started
/var/run/applogic/locks/vol_clean.sem - Lock file for vol clean process. Typical failure message is "Internal loop error while acquiring lock - please contact 3Tera technical support."
/var/run/applogic/locks/<volume name> - Lock file for volume currently being repaired.
/var/run/applogic/locks/3tha.lock - Lock file of "ha check"
/var/applogic/state/ha/apps/<application name> - descriptior file of all active application. It's used to recover the application during contorller recovery
/usr/local/applogic/version.tag - grid version tag file, including hot-fixes.
<Versions download directory>/.syncApplogicVersions.lock - in this example: /opt/bfc/downloads/.syncApplogicVersions.lock
