df8975 is a distribution hotfix for CA AppLogic 3.7.14 that resolves an issue where dom0 kernel crashes on boot on Dell C6200 hardware.
Applicability:
This hotfix is only for CA AppLogic 3.7.14 distributions.
Note:
- This bug fix affects only Xen-based grids. .
- This resolution only affects grid servers that use Dell PowerEdge C6200 Server hardware.
- While a typical hotfix is applied to a CA AppLogic grid after it is created, a distribution hotfix is applied to the CA AppLogic distribution image used to create grids. This distribution hotfix does not need to be reapplied unless the CA AppLogic 3.7.14 distribution image is re-imported into the BFC.
Installation command:
Download the hotfix, log in to the BFC server as root, and then run one of the following commands:
- If you installed the BFC in the default install location (/opt/bfc), run the following command:
/opt/bfc/bin/apply-version-hotfix -v 3.7.14 -f <download directory>/3.7.14/applogic-3.7.14-df8975-part1.2.tar.bz2
- If you installed the BFC in an alternate location, run the following command:
<non-standard BFC install location>/apply-version-hotfix -v 3.7.14 -f <download directory>/3.7.14/applogic-3.7.14-df8975-part1.2.tar.bz2
Note: <download directory> is the download directory that was specified during the BFC installation. It can be found on the Versions tab in the BFC Administration GUI.

- df8975 updates server image files in images/GridOS/<version>/
