When upgrading the BFC, make certain all the versions in the download directories and in the applogic_versions directories are accessible. Permissions issues with anything in those directories can cause an upgrade and/or rollback to fail.
The BFC hostname must not change. If you're having problems upgrading or rolling back, go to where the replica db is and look at the HOSTINFO file. It shows you what the BFC thinks the hostname should be. uname -n should match the cfg_uname= value.
Make sure whatever the replica db passphrase stays the same as it was before.
