Create a User Story Dependency

You can create dependencies in the user story detail to identify requirements that a user story has on another story. The story dependency must be in the same product.

Follow these steps:

1. On the User Story Detail page, click New Dependency.

   The New Dependency pop-up dialog appears.

2. Complete the required field:

   Depends on User Story

   Specifies the user story number and name that is needed by the current user story. Begin typing or click the drop-down list to display the available user stories.

3. Click Save and Close.

   The story detail updates to reflect the dependency details.

After you create a dependency, the detail page for the other story displays information about the relationship in the Dependencies section. Additionally, a message appears in each story detail page indicating that the user story has a dependency relationship with one or more stories.
