User Stories

A user story describes a feature or functionality that the team commits to delivering. You can work with user stories from the Backlog and the Sprint Backlog & Charts pages, as well as from the Epic Hierarchy and Theme Detail pages. CA Product Vision users can work with user stories from the detail page of requirements.

The user story contains relevant information about work on the feature:

• The estimated and actual hours and points to complete the story work
• Tasks associated with the story
• The product, release, and sprint in which user story has been committed
• Dependencies and issues
• Acceptance criteria, comments, and related issues
• When integrated with other products, you can view test cases, code package history and changes, and requirements

You can create a user story from the CA Agile Vision Home page, Backlog page, Epic Hierarchy view, Sprint Backlog & Charts page, or Theme Detail page.

After you create a user story, the Product field becomes read-only. You cannot associate the user story with a different product. Once a product has been associated with a master release, the master release can be assigned to a user story.
