Creating Impediments

Create impediments from the Task Detail page.

Follow these steps:

1. Open the Sprint Backlog & Charts page, from the Agile Vision Sprint Tracking menu.
2. Expand the user story that has an impeded task.
3. Click the title link for the task.
4. Scroll to and expand the Impediment section
5. Click New Impediment.

   The New Impediment pop-up dialog opens.

6. Fill in the appropriate fields and click Save and Close.

   The message area at the top of the page displays a warning that the task is impeded.

When you create an impediment, the following visual cues appear for the task:

• A message flag appears in the Task Detail page.
• The icon appears in the task list from the Sprint Backlog & Charts page.
• The icon appears in the task list on the User Story Detail page.
