Clone User Stories with Tasks

You can clone a user story, with its associated tasks, to create a user story.

The following rules apply when you clone a user story:

• If the original user story belongs to an epic, the new user story is created as a child of the same epic. You can change this association after cloning.
• All values are cloned from the original user story except the status and title.
• The status of the new user story is set to Planned by default.
• The title of the new user story displays the title of the original user story appended with "Clone".
• If a task is cloned, all values from the original task are cloned except the status which is set to Planned by default.
• Worklogs associated with a task are not cloned.

Follow these steps:

1. On the Backlog page, click the title of the user story you want to work with.

   The User Story Detail page appears.

2. Click Clone.

   The Select tasks to clone page appears All tasks are selected by default for cloning.

3. Unselect any tasks that you do not want to clone and click Save and Continue.

   The User Story Edit page appears.

4. Edit the values that you want to change and click Save.
