How to Bootstrap the System

Before you can start using the CA Advanced Authentication to manage CA Strong Authentication, first perform the following steps to initialize the system:

• Change the default Master Administrator password
• Specify the Global Key label
• Specify the authentication mechanism for the Default organization

Bootstrapping is a wizard-driven process that walks you through these setup tasks. Other administrative links are enabled after you perform these tasks.

Before you proceed with Performing the Bootstrapping Tasks, you must learn about the related concept of Default Organization.

Default Organization

When you deploy the CA Advanced Authentication, an organization is created by default. This organization is referred to as Default Organization (DEFAULTORG). As a single-organization system, the Default Organization itself can be used without creating any organizations.
