How to Upgrade CA Strong Authentication on Windows

To upgrade to 8.0 Release, perform the following steps:

  1. Perform Pre-Upgrade Tasks
  2. Prepare for the Upgrade to Release 8.0
  3. Migrate the Database to Release 8.0 for the Common Components
  4. Migrate the Database to Release 8.0 for CA Strong Authentication Components
  5. Uninstall the Existing Release of CA Strong Authentication (shared)
  6. Depending on whether the existing CA Strong Authentication deployment is on a single system or distributed system, perform the steps described in one of the following sections:
  7. If there are any warnings from CA Strong Authentication Server startup during upgrade and the transactions fails, then perform the steps listed in (In Error Scenario Only) Reverting to Your Initial Setup.
  8. Perform Post-Upgrade Tasks (shared)
