Additional Information on Adding Nodes to a Plan

You create a plan to protect various nodes. To protect nodes, you have to first add nodes to a plan. You can add nodes from the UDP Appliance wizard. The wizard lets you add nodes using the following methods:

• Manually entering the node IP Address or hostname

  (Add Nodes by Hostname/IP Address)

• Discovering nodes from an active directory

  (Add Nodes by Active Directory)

• Importing virtual machine nodes from VMware ESX/vCenter servers

  (Add vCenter/ESX Nodes)

• Importing virtual machine nodes from Microsoft Hyper-V servers

  (Add Hyper-V Nodes)
