You should examine shift controls in CA ACF2 Option for DB2 rules carefully, because they might cause the DB2 catalog to be incorrectly updated when the synchronization utility is run. The reason for this is that most sites run the CA ACF2 Option for DB2 synchronization utility during evening hours or weekends, consequently, CA ACF2 Option for DB2 tests the access for each user at this time. If a rule exists that allows user access only during a different shift, CA ACF2 Option for DB2 might deny access.
Because the user does not actually sign on during synchronization, CA ACF2 ignores shift controls in logonids while the synchronization utility runs. Therefore, unlike shift controls in rules, shift controls in logonids do not affect synchronization.
