Globally Resident Directories for CA ACF2 Option for DB2 Rule Sets

The synchronization utility does not require that you make globally resident the directories for the CA ACF2 Option for DB2 resource rule types. If they are not resident, the utility itself makes these directories resident in its address space for the duration of the synchronization.

Although global residency for these directories is not required for the synchronization, you should consider doing so to improve the general performance of CA ACF2 Option for DB2, and, therefore, of the utility. To make directories globally resident, specify all pertinent CA ACF2 Option for DB2 resource rule type codes in the GSO INFODIR record. See the “Using the GSO INFODIR Record” appendix for information about making directories and rule sets resident.
