A synchronization of all users and all resources can take a lengthy amount of time to execute and use a significant amount of system resources. To improve the performance of your synchronization, consider including only DB2 users instead of all users. You can use the INCLUDE and EXCLUDE synchronization control statements to accomplish this.
You can also use the IF keyword to select only those logonids that have a certain bit field turned on. To take advantage of this keyword, you must first customize your ACFFDR to include new bit settings for each DB2 subsystem or a single bit setting for all DB2 subsystems. Turn on this bit field in the logonids of the appropriate users. When you are ready to synchronize, use the IF parameter to select only the logonids that include the bit field for the DB2 subsystems that you want to synchronize. See the CA ACF2 Getting Started for information about customizing your ACFFDR.
