Using Reports

This chapter identifies and describes the reports available with CA ACF2 Option for DB2. It is a reference tool for individuals who monitor the status of CA ACF2 Option for DB2 access violations and audit trails. This chapter also includes sample output for each report and explains how to use these reports with CA ACF2 Option for DB2.

You should already know how to generate CA ACF2 reports. If you do not, you should familiarize yourself with this process in the CA ACF2 Reports and Utilities Guide. That document presents basic information about such operations as:

Establishing the required access to generate reports
Generating reports using JCL supplied with CA ACF2
Generating reports using ISPF panels
Executing batch programs using JCL
Executing batch programs using ISPF panels
Generating reports when CA ACF2 is inactive.

Additionally, the CA ACF2 Reports and Utilities Guide discusses the authorization you need to run each report, the files each report uses, the parameters each report accepts, and the sort sequence for each report. These topics are not covered in this guide

Note: You might find two utilities useful in running CA ACF2 Option for DB2 reports: ACFRPTPP (the report preprocessor) and ACFBATCH (a utility that lets you execute ACF commands in batch). For complete information about these and other utilities, consult the CA ACF2 Reports and Utilities Guide.
