Using Multiple Subsystem IDs

Sites using multiple DB2 subsystems can secure each subsystem using a different SYSID name. The SYSID name must correspond to a four‑character DB2 subsystem identified in the IEFSSNxx member of SYS1.PARMLIB and must be unique across all DB2 subsystems. This lets you create a different set of DB2 records or CA ACF2 Option for DB2 rules for each DB2 subsystem using one Infostorage database. This feature is useful for creating one set of records or rules for production subsystems and another set for test subsystems. For example, you can create a DB2 record that the production DB2 subsystem can reference. The SYSID for this DB2 subsystem is PDB2. You can create another DB2 record with different values that the test DB2 subsystem can reference. The SYSID for this DB2 subsystem is TDB2.
