Defining a Cycle to Vault Management

The CA 1 System Options Table defines a cycle to VMS through the CYD parameter in member TMOOPTxx of hlq.CTAPOPTN. This option can be set to YES; the default is NO.

The default value (NO) for CYD should be used if each creation of a data set, regardless of its creation date, is to be treated as an exclusive cycle.

Volume 000004 has the most recent CDATE and CTIME, so it is vaulted.

The TMOOPTxx CYD parameter should be set to YES if all creations of a given data set that are created on the same date are to be considered collectively a single cycle.

Since both volumes 000003 and 000004 were created on 94051, the CYD option set to YES instructs VMS to move both volumes.
